A Face Without A Name?
On a recent excursion to the high country, I snapped the following photo:

The image was captured from the Blue Ridge Parkway, at an overlook near Grandfather Mountain. Looking for someone that can reply with a positive ID to this gigantic outdoorsman!

Hey man, is this grandfather mtn?
This mountain is Hawksbill. It, along with it's unusual neighbor Table Rock, is very visible driving from Blowing Rock to Lenior on 321. The most "common" views of it do not look so much like a profile, you have captured a very interesting angle! Check out the trail that goes to the top of it, it's a great (but difficult) hike. On the other side of the peak is the Linville Gorge, which looks incredible from the campsite at the top. Table Rock has awesome views as well, plus you can drive almost all the way to the top during the summer. If you haven't explored these two peaks before, you MUST!!!
You can get a great view of both peaks from a popular overlook called Wiseman's View, made slightly famous due to it's popularity as a spot for viewing the Brown Mountain Lights. Standing at Wiseman's View, the Linville Gorge drops away in front of you and then the horizon is dominated by Table Rock and Hawksbill.
Ok, probably much more than you wanted to know, but there ya go!
